Recital Season

This year Shara really learned her stuff! I only have her second dance but here it is for those who can't be there tomorrow.

Productive Memorial Day

We got quite a lot done off of our to do list. We finished Shara's chimney prop for Mary Poppins, wrote & addressed her birthday invitations, and practiced putting on makeup for the recital. I rotated out the old spring/summer clothes for new, talked Shara into giving her old and tiny Disney vanity to our neighbor's little girl, planted morning glories, made buffalo wings for the first time in forever, and even worked out. Not ready to go back to work tomorrow but can't complain since it was so nice having three days off without too much to do!

Long Weekend

Busy weekend - lots of planting - flowers, cucumbers, beans, peas! Shara wanted to plant cucumbers and ended up covered in dirt from head to toe! It was good to have a couple of days of normalcy. No major places to be or tasks to take care of.

It was also nice that Alan and Shara got some time together recently while I was away at conferences. I think they bonded nicely and were able to continue with it yesterday while I was at Zumba - Alan's famous cheesy eggs baked in a toast hole, then off to Lowe's for supplies. And it makes up for Alan not being able to go with us on a short vacation to New Hampshire. We were going to lose timeshare points and the only places left at this late date were NH and VT - both with spotty cell coverage. So Shara and I will have a chance to bond! I'm really looking forward to it.

Other exciting events at this time of year, and Shara's so excited for all of it - recital, Mary Poppins, birthday! So much.
